Please tell me you are working on some new material? This songs is just so beautiful… makes me miss summer. This guy has what it takes to be the next “antti tuisku” of Finland. And I mean that in all positive ways possible!
Kostamus - Kosketus
Wow, what a hidden gem. Kostamus released their debut album on 2010. The name of the band is actually a town in russia. A small town, yet beautiful in a sad way. The same applies to this band. Understated, beauty and great lyrics. Check out Kosketus.

Jurek - Ennen Kuin Me Kadotaan
Wow, quite an interesting new pop act. The sound is fresh, guitar driven, yet the strong use of synthesizer brings to mind elements of Ultramariini. The vocals might be a bit too strong for some people, but after listening to jap bands a lot, I feel very much comfortable listening to Jurek. Great new addition to Finnish pop scene!
Jukka Ässä - Uusi Maa
Excellent tune from Jukka Ässä with a little bit of Egotrippi vibe on it. Finland needs more this kind of folksy tunes with good harmonies and timeless feel. Love it!
Onitsuka Chihiro - Aoi Tori
After battling mental health issues and stalkers, Oni-Chan returned with a beautiful single last year. Aoi Tori takes Oni’s style towards folk with Irish influences. The arrangement is simply amazing, and the vocals have an urgency that fits the song. Too bad she didn’t go further in to this direction with the whole album. The video is tad on the boring side, but do check out this amazing song!
Award for the weirdest band name in a while. Suck a stew dry. Yeah! But these guys definitely know how to stir their stew. Umm.. anyhow, check out this band with some post-rock /shoegazey feel.
A newcomer for jap-indie-scene, and a good one. Nothing remarkable here, just very likable sound, catchy and fresh. The singer sounds a bit like plentys with similar high-pitched voice. All in all, cute and catchy stuff! Really looking forward to their debut mini-album!
Kristiina Brask - F32
F32 stands for diagnosis of depression and that’s what this song is all about. Kristiina Brask surprised us with something deeper than her previous bubblegum-pop. She has found a spectacular team (guys from Uusi Fantasia) behind her, and hopefully they continue the collaboration on her upcoming spring album. Catchy, awesome arrangement, lyrics with actual depth. Keep it coming Kristiina!
